However, this does not mean that God does not supply us a very private application of specific passages to our lives. After all He does, and this is the world of our examine where the Holy Spirit "quickens" the words on the web page to our spirits. Hebrews four:12 says, "For the word of God resides and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." It has the power not solely to inform, but also to convict, instruct, encourage, exhort and finally transform our lives.
